Taking the Lead On Research
Research librarians are the key links between TCU’s academic activities and the Library.
From the beginning to the end of an academic year, our research librarians have the potential to become a
student’s best friend!
Our librarians are a valuable and, for some students, little known resource on the TCU Campus. They offer a variety of
services designed to help TCU students, faculty and staff access informational resources and use them more effectively.
The support offered by our librarians is beneficial to students who are doing research as well as those writing an article,
thesis or dissertation, or even just a paper for class. They can help by identifying the best search terms for finding the right
information in online databases or discussing the most common methods of research within a subject area.
Each librarian provides instruction and support for the academic discipline they assist and all have individual expertise in
the research sources and methods that best meet the needs of their discipline.
These librarians have an impact on the student’s education – they help them think differently. They help students succeed
academically as they strive for success. Research Librarians are the key links between TCU’s academic activities and the
Library.
