- Why should I join the Friends?
The Friends of the TCU Library play an important role in supporting acquisitions and operations for the Library. You can become a part of a legacy that began when the Friends were founded in 1972. You will meet like-minded individuals who share your interest in TCU’s Library. We are always interested in new Friends and hope you will consider joining us!
- What opportunities are there for Friends members?
Friends of the TCU Library have the opportunity to assist by:
- Volunteering to help with special projects.
- Alerting the Dean of the Library to potential donors of book collections or financial contributions.
- Encouraging friends and colleagues to become Friends members and to make gifts to the TCU Library.
- Regularly attending Friends-sponsored events.

Basic Membership: ($35 - $49)
- Invitations to the annual Friends dinner.
- Invitations to FacultySpeak events.
- Receipt of Windows, the Friends newsletter.
- Receipt of the TCU Library Annual Report.
Associate Level Membership: ($50-$99)
- All of the previous benefits.
- Mary Couts Burnett Library borrowing card allowing the holder to borrow books from the Library.
Patron Level Membership ($100 - $499)
- All of the previous benefits.
- Invitations to FacultySpeak receptions.
- Subscription to Selections from the Dean, an e-newsleter of recommended reading.
Sponsor Level Membership ($500 - $1,999)
- All of the previous benefits.
- Library Staff Excellence Award Luncheon invitation.
- Interlibrary loan privileges.
Life Membership ($2,000 one-time gift)
- All of the previous benefits.
- Member’s name included in recognition with other Life Members in the Dean’s office.
- Access to library databases (selection of databases depends on vendor license agreements).
