Celebrating TCU
Faculty Authors
The Celebration of Faculty Research and Creative Scholarship highlighted a compelling range of work
by TCU’s faculty and recognized their publishing achievements
TCU faculty who were published or released a creative work
in the previous year were recognized at a reception in the
library’s Sumner Heritage Room on April 10. The Celebration
of Faculty Research and Creative Scholarship honored
faculty who publish as researchers, authors, musicians,
designers, choreographers, photographers and illustrators.
“TCU faculty members work hard to create their research
and creative scholarship,” said Jeff Bond, Scholarly
Communication Librarian and Science Research Liaison. “The
library is pleased to recognize all faculty for their scholarly
work.”
Hosted by the TCU Library and the Office of Sponsored
Programs, this event highlighted the many mediums and forms
of publications from more than 80 faculty, including scholarly
research, journal articles, dance choreography, music scores
and fashion.
Professor of Music Theory and Composition Till Meyn
commented that the celebration was a great idea and
opportunity to recognize the accomplishments of our TCU
faculty. Meyn had two music scores both printed and one live
version featured in the exhibition.
The Celebration of Faculty Research and Creative Scholarship
reception created a moment for people from across campus to
celebrate the accomplishments of their colleagues, chat with
one another and interact in a comfortable, welcoming space.
This event served as a reminder of the library’s collaborative,
supportive role in their academic pursuits and in their many
successes.
Faculty publications were displayed during the month of April
to recognize the myriad of contributions faculty make in the
realm of scholarly publishing.
