“ Faculty Speak “ Employee Spotlight

The job opened and then it was hers. Boglarka (Bogi) Huddleston
began working for TCU’s Mary Couts Burnett Library on June 22,
2015, as the Health Sciences Liaison and Assessment Librarian. Since
Bogi
was new to TCU as was her position to the Library, she settled into her
job and TCU quite nicely.

Born and raised in Budapest, Hungary, Bogi came to the United States
in 1996 and finally became a citizen in January of this year. She has a
master’s degree in psychology and worked as a licensed counselor for
15 years. When the inevitable burn-out caught up with her, she
returned to school to earn a master’s degree in Library and Information
Science and became a librarian. Before coming to TCU, Bogi was a
librarian at the Arlington Public Library and at the University of Texas
at Arlington.

Her job responsibilities involve primarily helping and ensuring
students and faculty in the Communication Sciences and Disorders,
Kinesiology, Nutritional Sciences, Psychology and Social Work
departments have all the library and research resources they need. She
teaches students how to do research, use databases and find articles
appropriate for their assignments. She also assists faculty with their
research needs. As the assessment librarian, she plans and coordinates
assessment activities to ensure the library services we provide are
meeting needs.
Each year, the Mary Couts Burnett Library invites remarkable speakers—TCU faculty—to share their

Growing up in central Illinois, Eric Simanek was surrounded by corn destined for feed or alcohol. He holds degrees in

Rob Arnold is a native of Louisville, Kentucky, and a third-generation member of the whiskey industry. With a passion for Bogi is always ready to answer any question with a smile and welcomes visitors to her office anytime. She’s excited about
both science and whiskey, he holds degrees in microbiology and biochemistry from the University of Tennessee and the helping people and helping students achieve academic success.
