The Mary Couts Burnett Library is pleased to announce the appointment of Mary Saffell as the new Senior Archivist in Special Collections. Mary's main responsibilities are to manage the digital archival collections and to provide reference services to a wide variety of users. She also processes and preserves the records collected by Special Collections.
Mary worked for 11 years as archivist at the Vietnam Center and Archive at Texas Tech University prior to coming to Texas Christian University. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees from University of Southern Mississippi and a master's in Library Science from UT/Austin.
