User groups (from greatest to least access):
- Graduate students, faculty and staff (app. 3,000): access to all databases, including First Search “pay-per-search” subscriptions.
- Undergraduates (app. 6,000): access to all databases except pay-per-search.
- “Clark Society” ($1,000+ alumni donors): access to subset of databases, from on or off campus.
- TexShare (state library) card holders: access to databases we get through TexShare agreement, from OPAC stations inside library (not off-campus, since we don’t want to become de facto proxy server for the state of Texas)
- General Public (access to free databases like Medline; remote access not an issue since no validation required).
