Limitations |
Checkout privileges for Community Borrower card holders do not include access to Interlibrary Loan, reserve readings, special collections, audiovisual materials, musical scores, or to electronic resources restricted by licensing agreements. Loan privileges are suspended for patrons with expired cards, overdue items, and unpaid fines.
There is no publicly available wi-fi or Internet access available in the Library. Alumni and guests with faculty/staff sponsorship can be given temporary guest wireless access by the alumni office or their sponsor. If you have been given an AGOT account name and password, instructions for using it are on this page.
|
Eligibility |
TexShare cardholders should apply for borrowing privileges at the Circulation Desk, first floor, Mary Couts Burnett Library. After presenting a current/valid TexShare card and photo ID and completing a registration form, they are issued a TCU borrowing card. This card expires twice a year on 12/15 and 5/15.
Applicants may fill out a form at the Library, or bring a filled-out copy of the Community Borrower Application form (pdf) to the Circulation Desk on the first floor.
|
Card Availability |
All applications and renewals must be processed before 9:00 pm. Renewal of privileges for the next semester requires a new valid TexShare card from the home institution. A review of the patron record will be made at that time to determine if it is cleared of charges and fines.
|
Loan Policies |
5 books, limit of 28 days or end of TCU term, whichever comes first.

Visitors in the Library may search a number of the databases that the Library subscribes to. Click here to access the list of guest databases.

Renewal of Materials |
No renewals are available.
|
Recalls |
All books are subject to recall. When a book is recalled, the due date specified on the recall notice replaces the original due date. Fines for overdue recalled books are $1.00 per day per book.
|
Returns |
Borrowers are responsible for returning books on or by the date due. They must be returned in person or by registered or first class mail. If materials are returned when the library is closed, there are drop boxes located at the front and back of the building for 24 hour return.
