View My Library Account
You may use the My Account function in the library catalog to
- list the library items charged to your account,
- renew (extend the due date) of library items charged to your account,
- check hold requests you have placed, or
- manage new title alerts that you have created.
To view a list of library items charged to your acount:
- from the library catalog, click the My Account link
- log on, using your TCU username and password

- click the Renew Loans button to view the list of items charged on account

Renew items
To renew library items charged to your record you must first follow the instructions above to view the list of library items charged on your account.
To renew a single item:
- click the number in the first column.
- click the Renew link
To renew all items charged to your account:
- Click the Renew All button.
- Items that were renewed are listed (with the new due dates) on top
- Items that were not renewed are listed next

Place a hold on an item
If all copies of an item you would like to use are checked out, you may place a hold. You will receive an email when a copy of the item is returned and available for you to pick up at the circulation desk.
To place a particular item on hold:
- First, verify on the results list that no copies of the item are available

- Click on the Detailed Holdings link
- Click the the Request link next to the item's due date

- Enter your TCU username and password
- Place your hold request by clicking the Go button
- A confirmation screen will appear

Check status of a hold
You may check the status of holds you have placed using the My Account function of the library catalog.
- From the library catalog, click the My Account link. You will be prompted to provide your TCU username and password if you are not already authenticated.
- Click the Check Hold Requests link.
- The resulting screen will lists all holds you have placed and their status. Note the expiration date: often multiple holds are placed on popular items, and your turn in the holds queue may not come up before your hold expires.

- Click on the item number for detailed information on hold request (including the option to delete the hold).

Recall an item
Recall is a request, sent from the library circulation department, to return an item before it is due. Students, faculty and staff may recall items by placing a request in person at the circulation desk.
- Recall requests can be placed 14 days after the original checkout date.
- A recall notice is sent to the patron who currently has the item checked out (usually via email).
- Recalled items that are not returned by the date specified in the notice will accrue daily fines.
- A notice to the patron requesting the recall is sent when the item is returned.
- Items returned will be held for 7 days.
